When it comes to controversial and sensitive political issues, I love to discuss them. I am not afraid to hurt feelings (until I do and I feel bad about it) and will happily debate any sort of political topic. I value knowledge, and believe the greatest resource for mankind is our common sense. I am involved in the FCHS Y-club where every year, we participate in a mock general assembly called Youth Assembly (YA). Students write bills which  people debate and vote to pass or veto and depending on the outcome, certain bills go to the real General assembly to be debated as well. Outside of my passion for politics, I am religiously devoted to band. Yep, I’m a band nerd and I don’t really care what anyone has to say about it. I wake up at 6:20 every morning to go to the band room and practice until two minutes before the first class starts. People can try and insult me, but I’m the kind of person to shrug it off and move on with my life. Everyone is entitled to his/her own opinion and I will stand by it even when the opinion goes directly against mine.

I am also involved in the City Youth Council where me and eight other students, two of which are from the Alliance Academy and the rest from FCHS. Our goal is to come up with ideas to propose to the Cumming City Council from the perspective of teenagers. If you would like to know more or give me your ideas on how to improve the city, please contact me.
