Last week was an exciting one for Central, and this week is no different.

Baseball opened their region play last week with three close games. All three games came down to the final inning of play to determine the winner. Unfortunately, Central lost all three. Central dropped games to Lambert Tuesday and Wednesday due to the cold weather, and Friday, Central lost at West 4-3. This week the team faces South twice and Milton once.

Boys Lacrosse had two exciting games last week. Both were won by one goal. Tuesday night Central lost a game 9-8 in OT to Sequoyah. The team bounced back Thursday night to defeat Riverwood by a score of 8-7. The team plays River Ridge on Monday followed by a home game vs. Duluth on Thursday.

Soccer played only one game last week at Woodstock. The Girls defeated the Wolverines 5-0 behind a fierce performance by goalie Alaina Giangiobbe. Callie Fagan scored twice while Alexis Sherman, Julia Wagner, and Lauren Uldrich each scored once. The Boys have suffered some injuries but played hard in a 4-1 loss. Both teams return to region play on Tuesday at Milton.

Tennis dropped region matches to Milton and South Forsyth but look to bounce back this week with three matches scheduled.

Gymnastics came in sixth place at their meet at Lovett Tuesday. The team has hope to be back to full strength this coming Saturday at the County Championship.
